the ARIDE student manual contains a “glossary of terms” that is 9 pages long and contains 95 technical terms and definitions (2018 revision, session 1, pages 31-39). Terms such as “endocrine system”, “homeostasis”, “neurotransmitter”, and “pupillary light reflex” are just some of the few technical terms contained in the glossary. Because these terms are in the student manual and taught to officers during the ARIDE course, an ARIDE officer should have no difficulty articulating any of these technical terms during cross. With that being said, not many ARIDE officers succeed.
